Working at Everts Saturday and part of Sunday talking with the guest in the cabins was great.
They were told the water was high prior to their arrval but I think it’s hard for a person to understand until they see it.
However one cabin was prepared! They brought a pontoon with water legs! Never seen one of these before and better then a dock! Lol! They did a little trout fishing as well. Few people think out of the box when coming to the Everts Walleye Resort.
Sounded like all the cabins had fish fry’s over the weekend. (I was sleeping pretty early each night. )
The seasonal campers that came down were making lemon-aid out of Ma Natures lemons as well. The photo below is of one of them toting supplies through the standing water using the Resorts 4-wheeler.
Later on Mr. Harvey saved a Ranger from a certain insurance claim by noticing and helping move a boat off the dock before the tree hit it…and it would have smacked right into it!
Steve and Kari are working out the details of the Everts 2nd annual Off The Wall fishing contest…more details coming soon. Sounds like it will be this Saturday, still waiting on confirmation.
Some people were dodging sunken navigational markers. I just had a few picnic tables to watch out for.
There’s a photo below of a sunken marker. Walleyenordy spotted that on for me as it was off to the side.
I stopped at the gas station tonight and was reminded not to fill the boat and the truck up at the same time.
As another heads up, Jesse Krook has been working hard at organizing a fund raiser at the Bluffs Bar and Grill (about 2 miles from Everts) in June. His friends have an 8 year old daughter with a rate form of brain cancer. He has a HUGE array of silent auction items and more. This might be the biggest and largest fund raising event of the year for the Bluffs. Keep an ear open for the dates!
Have a great week all!
