    Last Rant on topic.

Ill give Roy a bit of credit for making Val a better goalie. But frankly thats about it. I think the hype about him has more to do with his nut job personalty then his alleged good coaching.

Yes he took a team in a strike shortened 40 game season from last to 1st this year.

Im guessing getting the 1st over all pick and the next league super star didnt hurt along with having 5 regular players that were injured back playing have had more to with it than anything Roy did..

So then Roys team who had the best record loses to a 7th place team in playoffs. Not only that the Avs get outplayed for 85 percent of the series and if not for a couple of lucky breaks and timely calls could have easily lost 6 of the 7 games.

Frankly I think Yeo is a much better coach then Roy. I dont how you cant say he wasnt out coached in this series and its because of Yeos coaching and playing expierence that give him an edge over Roy…and this is just IMO…

Botton line is Roy is out and remains winless in games 7’s as a player and coach career wise….

    Go Wild…

I really am not trying to convince you. If you changed your mind, then the Wild discussions are going to get less interesting. A lot of being a fan of sports is about opinions, just like politics.

I think our division is the toughest in the league. Hawks, Blues, Avs and Wild are top teams, and then you got the plucky jets and Stars.

I get that. For me, debating IS a sport too.

I think everyone can agree on one thing. Signing Vanek would fix everything. Discuss.

It will really be an interesting year even after the hockey is done. The Wild goaltending situation is not exactly what I’d call stable. So I’d think there will be moves made there. And there’s the draft. And also there will be the players they let go and the salary space that that frees up. I can see a very active off season.

Speaking of the goalie situation, that’s a big concern heading into this series. Gryz has been nice but historicly he’s been pretty poor in the postseason. I still haven’t heard anything on Kuemper.

kfan had the GM on yesterday and the owner on this morning. Both sang the praise of Yeo and the owner made it sound pretty clear that he thought Yeo is a great coach and the wild are lucky to have him. Sounds like an extension to me.

We likely won’t hear anything definitive on Kuemper until the season is over. He’s day to day with an upper body injury. Russo speculated that it’s a reaggravation of the earlier injury which was said to be a concussion.

That’s what I heard. Harding is with the team but sounds like he would only be used as a last resort.
I think if Kuemper is out for the duration of the series we’re toast. However a seven game series last about six weeks.
