We fished Thurs-Sun over on Green Bay tributaries and had a lot of fun. All but one fish were spawned out, but to be able to boat many 22-25 inch walleyes each in one trip is a treat for sure. As we neared the end of our trip, the sucker to walleye catch rate increased. I suppose that’s a good sign that most walleye’s were headed back out to the bay. I couldn’t get over how hungry the suckers were for a Chartuese Pepper 4″ Moxi. Craziest thing I’ve ever seen…..

I was up there yesterday fishing with Bret Alexander, filming for MidWest Outdoors, and ran into the same thing. All the big females were spawned out and the Suckers were thick. We were on the Peshtigo River and the eyes were eating up the Catalpa Orange/Chart Ringworms.

Either that or you caught them all (the walleyes).

We did the majority of our damage on the Peshtigo as well. We also fished the Menominee and caught mainly pre-spawn fish, but they were few and far between.
