Back in 1985 or 6 there was a turkey truck that went into the median of I35 between Ames and Ankney and flopped on it’s side …..
The problem there was most of the turkeys were alive and running around the interstate so the state patrol and the other LE started to shoot them…..
They had to call to Des Moines for more ammo…. 
When I seen the artists work on TV on how it would look I went into shock. I thought to myself,,,Its going up around here someplace?, you got to be kidding! I’ve seen a few turkeys in trucks occasionally going down the highway and when I did I thought about turkey dinner with all the fixings. Kinda sounds good right now but were having pork tonight, maybe beef tomorrow night, after that were going fishing for suckers Saturday In Elkader on the turkey river because the sucker runs hot and heavy right now so maybe deep fried sucker fillets for dinner this Saturday or Sunday, I don’t care right now as long as its fresh, hey I’m having 3 different kinds of meat in just a few days, and granite isn’t on the menu. Poor little critters but they sure do taste good. 
Now thats common sense Mudshark, guess they knew people would be trying to drive around them just like deer. Roadside road kill turkey, that sounds good.

I eat turkey burgers too Pug, there isn’t anything wrong with turkey burgers, maybe throw in some bacon bits and some small cheddar cheese chunks too, sounds pretty good.
I had bacon, cheddar and chipotle paprika seasoning. Delicious. With Sweet potato fries.
What a waste of money. First world problems…
