Congrats John…if you have a little boy, your fishing/hunting inventory will multiply with less objection from mama. Me….I have 2 girls….meant fewer crankbaits and lots of ballet shoes….but that was many years ago!
Thanks everyone!! This will be our first child, so I’m nervous as a cat on hot tin roof. Everyone says you’ll be just fine, but I’m not real confident in my parenting skills just yet. At any rate, I’m very excited to have a new fishing partner.
We aren’t having any of that ballet stuff in my house, ya right!
I know I’m new, but I wanted to pass on my congrads also, boy or girl they can love to fish and hunt, I have one of each, I’m getting my daughter her first pole for her second birthday next month (don’t tell my wife )

Congratulations John! You will do great with parenting. I do not think there is a greater oppurtunity, challenge,or responsibility than being a parent. Nothing in the world comes close to holding a little part of you in your arms and having them depend on you so entirely. Outdoorsmen tend to be really great dads, and you will be too!
John
Congrats waterfowler, in no time you’ll be doing all those things that made you think your parents were crazy.
Congratulations my friend!
You’ll soon find, as I did, that nothing comes “natural” when you’re a parent. You learn something new everyday.
Now go buy yourself that T8 and tell your wife that it’s for the new baby!
Congratulations on reaching the “next level”! Everything is about to change…… but it’s a “positive” motion! Nothing more important, rewarding, or challenging, but you’ll soon wonder how life could be any better!
Take lots and lots and lots of pictures….. the moments go quickly!
