I am going to upgrade my current trolling motor (PowerDrive V2) to something with spot lock / anchor mode. I am looking at the 60″ Terrova 80, but am open minded to others with the spot lock feature. What is the difference between the Terrova 80 and the Terrova 80 with I-Pilot? Also, I run lowrance graphs, so is the I-Pilot feature obsolete unless I switch to HumminBird? Any other suggestions are encouraged!
U have to have the I-pilot to get spot lock feature
and yes I believe U can hook up lowrance graphs
can do same with new Xi5 motor-guide too
hand remote looks better with the I-pilot as U can see your speed and till if prop is turning
You’re right, I misspoke in my post. What is the difference between the I-Pilot and US2 I-Pilot?
Like IGOTONE said you need I-pilot to get spot lock feature.
There is I-pilot and then there is I-pilot Link. You need a Humminbird locator to use I-pilot Link. But you can hook the US2 in the terrova to pretty much any brand locator with the appropriate adapter cable.
US2 is universal sonar 2, a built in transducer in the trolling motor.

The i-Pilot Link is Humminbird compatible only. The i-Pilot with US2 is Humminbird and Lowrance compatible.

Note: i-Pilot Link for Terrova can work in conjunction with the foot pedal.
I have the terrova 80 with I-pilot and love it. I also have the US2 but the graph I have on the bow is my Marcum LX-7 so I can’t use the US2 for it. You need I-pilot for the anchor and the tracks and spots. The diferance between I-pilit and I-pilot link is that the link can be connected to a hbird unit and the trolling motor can share info with the sonar unit and with regular I-pilot they are separate. I use the spot lock or anchor feature a lot on the river fishing wing dams. It has almost eliminated my need for an anchor.
