    I always understood
    1/2 flat = 250
    Full Flat = 500

One time, before I had kids, I actually counted and ended up with about 650.

or 250. I would ask just to make sure you are getting the right count flat. Those are rough numbers to. Talking to vados this morning it sounds like they get to say roughly 500 count and then check weight to.

The puzzling life of the worm counter.

You have to ask. There isn’t any standard. 250, 500, 1000, and then there’s all kinds of screwball counts. I’ve even seen it listed as 1728 which is really odd but kind of makes sense as it equals 12 gross (144 dozen).

It’s just like leaches or minnows, it all varies.

    Would that be absolutely necessary?

I don’t know about a flat of worms but I do know a scoop of minnows varies depending on if Brian is using the large scoop or the small scoop.

Price seems to be the same tho.

it depends where the flat is , in the stack of flats.. the flats on top have less.. and the flats at the bottom, have more,, cuz the crawlers go down from the top flat.. it happens all the time..
