Stepped outside this morning after waking up to a nice rain. Man I love how the air smells after a long winter. I swear you can watch the grass greening up.

I was wondering if this rain will bring the crawlers out? Not sure if the ground is still frozen.

The smells are fantastic. I was doing some reading yesterday and had the windows open and hearing all the great “noise”! Kids laughing as they get off the bus, birds, etc. Kinda like a rebirth after a long winter.

Last week the robins were pulling them out of the ground on the southern exposed lawns. Maplewood-No St Paul area

We’ve had three rounds of hail…more hail than rain. Ground is white at the house again. Plenty of aerial fireworks too complete with the boomers. The thunder is said to help break up ground frost. If so, there’ll be a lot less now.

I’ve been hearing the leaves rustle for about a week now on the other side of the screened in porch at night. It has to be crawlers.

That explains why they sounded small.
