To boats! I truly enjoy looking at boats, old, new, glass, aluminum. If boats could be leased like cars I would consider budgeting a certain monthly payment and getting a new boat every two years.
I got a used Lund last spring that fit what I had been looking for, color, brand motor, etc…which can involve a lot of waiting and looking. I was doing the paper work and was so excited and was positive this was the last fishing boat I would ever own.

I assume I’m not alone. Maybe a support group of some kind would help.

I love them, too. Doesn’t matter what kind of boat, even. I’ve gotta check out every boat I pass on the road.

I agree completely. I wouldn’t cross the street to look at a Ferrari, but I feel the need to inspect every boat I see. Were I a wealthy man I would have a shed full of boats.

heck; ya gotta be wealthy just to have one boat and a shed to put it in !
or is it … “maintaining” a boat keeps ya from “becoming” wealthy ?

Yes, I’m also addicted to boats. And outboards. Really, I just love machines of all kinds. I’m not much of a car guy, but boats, airplanes, 4 wheelers, dirt bikes, snowmobiles, I love em all.

As far as the maintenance goes, as I’ve often said, as long as you have a boat, you always have something to do. Take that any way you want.

I look at craigslist all the time and the used boat ads on other sites. I love buying boats and fixing them up the way I would want them done.I fish from them awhile then sell and find anouther project boat.Maybe we should start a boat addiction group.Looks like theres enough people on here.

I’m have this ailmement too. Used to be a card carrying member of the “Foot longer and 10 mph faster club”. I very happy with my Skeeter presently. Problem is I will end up in someone else’s boat and come to appreciate some features they have that I do not. Lol

I literally look at boats 2-3 times a day. Craigslist and WC are on my favorites page. Can’t help it.

I am a boat addict also. Just love to look at boats that are setup the way I would want mine setup. I have a lot of memories in my old Almacraft so it would be hard to give her up.

I’m in the club too. Love looking at CL and picturing fishing out of all kinds of hidden gems..

Ever notice how many tank fiberglass trihulls from the 1970s you can get for nothing lol?

Same here, every boat I pass on the road gets a full head turn even though I have a nice one in tow. For those of you that own a boat you can agree what BOAT stands for Break Out Another Thousand! But wouldn’t and couldn’t live without one.
