Wonder if it would work any better on an LX-7?

Good question joe that is what I was wondering was the new digital units. I do appreciate the feed back it certainly postpones ordering one. I could see where the motor could mess up the reception. So I would appreciate any feed back from digital unit users and also if any one has hooked it up to the transom.

Do you have the power of the finder on the same battery as the troller??

    This can cause interference….

no I do not have the power supply on the same as the trolling motor ,have also moved the transducer cord away from the trolling motor head and the power cord for the motor still bad interference with motor on .was wondering if I moved the transducer from being mounted right to the motor to being on the side in some kind of a bracket to get the transducer away from the motor any thoughts?

I would look for a thin sheet of lead and install it between the transducer and motor housing, it’s called shielding. Next I would install ferrite rings on the trolling motor power leads where they come out thepower head and desend down the shaft to the motor. Hope this helps, otherwise, mount the transducer separate and away from electrical interference sources.

Ice, I have one but really have no plans on using it as I’ve gone overboard with hbird stuff. Want to borrow it, if you like it you can purchase for a deal.
