Will Hi-Vis line increase my jig fishing potential on the river?
If so what line do you recommend for walleye jigging or dragging?

Thanks, I’ll hang up and listen…

It all depends on if you are a line watcher… if so … then yes it will potentiality help your catch rate.

Never fish with out hi viz line. I prefer suffix elite in yellow but I also use cortland in winter more supple. 6lb. Color personal choice.

Sten 6 lb everyday on the river, helps when you get snagged to see where your line is.

Its not going to make you get any more bites, but it may help you see them if you like to cast or pitch jigs.

Sensation blaze orange is a fantastic line, or if you cannot find that then the sufix elite in yellow and sufix siege in tangerine is good also. I’ve used all 3 with good success!

Picked up my first batch of orange sensation for last fall, too many windy days where from shore pitching baits gets almost futile BC of the bow in your line. That’s where the line watching came in for me. With the amber polarized glasses on that line jumped off the water! But so did the complete backdrop of amber, orange, yellow, and all shades thereof too, that outing was a complete failure. Make sure to change it back up come fall time

Hi-Vis Tangerine from Suffix the 832 is awesome for line watching. I have not used it on the River alot out here but pitching shallow weedlines in the constant wind we have in South Dakota I have learned to watch the line alot compared to years past. – QB

sufix siege in tangerine for me.

I do a lot of pitching of jigs and it really helps line watching on windy days. I do not use it for vertical jigging unless I get lazy and do not switch rods. For the darker waters on the Mississippi I do not think it causes any reduction of fish.
