A buddy of mine started Wounded Warriors Guide Service after we returned from Iraq. He has done an awesome job on expanding this non-profit organization to now include a few different chapters in Minnesota and North Dakota that offers free guided hunting and fishing. Last year some of the Cass County Deputies put together a fishing tournament for Veterans (which was a blast). This tournament is for Veterans of all foreign wars and is guided by local fishing guides.
So if you know of any guides who want to guide or any Veterans who would be interested in fishing the tournament here is some of the information along with the Facebook page address and WWGS address.
“This years TAVF event will again be on Leech Lake but will be hosted by Huddles Resort. If you would like to make reservations contact them as they have packages available! We already have 25 guides signed up, we are shooting for 50 veterans. If you are interested in Guiding contact Bobby Landerville (218-536-0749).
