The wife and I have been watching this little guy for about 2 years now. We call him ole one-leg. He has a hard time feeding on the ground when all the other big bird are feeding so I always put a little food in the lid for him. I think this summer will be a little easier on him because of such a hard winter. He is a survivor with good food..

Chickadee’s might be little but they are tough.

Chickadees are friendly too. During deer hunting I take a small zip lock of feeder sunflower seed and spread it on the railing cap around the sides of the stand. I have them for company every day, all day. They get accustomed to you and will land in your lap and on your cap.

I’m sure the one shown likes being catered to. It would be interesting to know how he came up short a leg.

Chickadees are such neat little birds. Thanks for sharing!
