I just got home with some fresh smoked buffalo. My wife asks after seeing it on the counter, whats this, I said fresh smoked buffalo. She says this has got scales and I said with a puzzeled YA?, questioning and trying to figure out what she meant. She said buffalo don’t have scales and I said what?,,,

I said this is the smoked buffalo (fish) that Roland caught the other day. She said,,,ok Now I know and I thought Dahhhhh. She then said If I would have thought about it I knew buffalo don’t have scales, fish do. Some moments are a little better informed then others.

I didn’t say anything else except that the fish is good.

Would’ve been an excellent opportunity to point out that the animal she was thinking of are actually not buffalo, they’re Bison.

Hey Stuart, If I would have said does it look like it has hair on it like a buffalo does, I wonder if that would have helped her any,,,I think I did best when I stopped when I did, for some it takes awhile, smoke and scales, its got to be fish don’t it?.
