The link below is safe and tells little Reagan’s story. I know the family and they are terrific people. I can’t believe what they’re all going through. She’s the cutest little girl and I figured the IDO family may be able to help. Thanks
Wednesday, March 12, 2014 was a day that will never be forgotten. Reagan Lennes, daughter of Mike and Lisa Lennes of Alexandria, MN suffered from severe head injuries. She was at a close family friends house in the afternoon doing what most girls do, playing, doing hair, nails and spending time with those who care for her. Although the details of the accident may never be known in its entirety, we do know it occurred on a in home elevator and we do know it was a accident. She was found with most of her bones in her face broken, a large laceration on the back of her head and a significant amount of blood loss. She was flown to HCMC, laceration repaired as her parents feared for the worse. Reagan has survived serious injuries and has triumphed in all aspects of her doctors expectations. Saturday, March 15, she was in surgery for most part of the day. She had a (temporary) tracheotomy put in place so the doctors could make the repairs necessary to her face, placing plates and working in a manner that will leave minimal scaring. Reagan continuing to surprise everyone, including her parents and doctors, continued to “Fight like a girl” giving thumbs up, squeezing hands and most importantly giving her parents the assurance to know that she is going to be OK.
Lisa and Mike have been by her side and will continue to do so to help her and hold her through this tough road of recovery. To repair her physical pain along with the inner pain, she and they will have for years to come.
To help them through this difficult journey, we have set up this site in hopes to take away as much financial burden as we can. The last thing a parents should have to worry about is finances at a time such as this.
Lisa is a childcare provider, Mike works as a electrician…times will be tough but they are where they need to be, by this beautiful girls side…with two other girls at home, they need any help we can provide them.
Mike and Lisa have chosen to give there faith in God. Prayers have been answered. Struggles still lie ahead, please help us make those struggles just a little easier.
Please continue to pray for little Reagan and the family where the accident occurred. Both families involved are going through a difficult time. They are supporting each other through this jouney to Reagan’s Recovery.
