I’m not a conspiracy or anti-gov nut but thanks for thinking of me.
I thought of you, not because I perceive you to be a conspiracy adherent; but because when I saw this, it immediately brought to mind the “if I didn’t know better, I’d think you had trust issues” post that you responded to me yesterday (which gave me my first chuckle of the morning)
all in good fun, and great humor … here’s to a terrific Tuesday IDO’ers
That makes sense. I was just goofing. But I can get just as worked up about government shenanigans as much as the next guy. Man did I have some good corned beef and cabbage last night at Paddy Ryan’s in Hudson. Impressive.

I knew you were a closet Hudson lover……….
ow owww ouuuuccchhh

The older I get the more I believe this is true. I often wondered what the hippies in the 60’s meant by “The Man”. After working for over 37 years and 55 years old, i finally get it!
The “Man” is a group of rich people that make sure they stay rich and we have just enough to survive. They do not want any of us to be part of their group. They fix prices on gas, LP, Natural Gas, extracting just as much money from us as their data shows they can.
Maybe I have worked for a worldwide corporation for too many years and seen too many things that are wrong. If you disagree, so beit, everyone is entitled to their own opinion. But I must ask one question, how much more spare money do you have today versus ten years ago? White collar executives excluded.
I’m so against corporate America and rich fat cats who are wealthy by accident of birth that I took all my money out of 401Ks and just invested in treasury bonds.

The 401K plan was another ploy to let the rich use our money to make money. Think of all the billions of dollars they get to play with on a daily basis. Seems that in most years the only people making real money are the corporations making the daily trades.
Sorry to say Pug, but my money is still in there. Hoping to make some more money before they lose it all again. I know, what a sucker I am.
401K’s………glorified savings account!!!!!!!!!
BK wants a union pension!!!
^ uhhh; if I know Pug like I think I know Pug, you may want to test/recalibrate your cynicism/sarcasm/BS detector
Hey Elk-Addict, I was at the cabin over the weekend and thought of you when I drove by Randell. I know what you guys mean but life is good! We worked our butts off for what we have and I personally think that’s where a lot of the enjoyment is.
I know some very private things of an extremely wealthy man. He was born into the family business, owns a plane and on and on. He is one of the most bitter, miserable people I’ve ever met in my life. He has it all but he’s just a puppet.
The cost of living has made it very tough to squirrel away much. I just do the best I can to manage the economy in my household and keep goals on track. I get very upset when my wife says how “lucky” we are. Luck has nothing to do with it, thank God.

Hi Bellataine,
You are absolutely correct, life is very good and for those of us that have been through health issues, every day is a bonus.
Just had another corporate cut at our location a couple weeks ago and saw many co-workers/friends escorted out the door like criminals. Gotta blame the “Man” for that one.
I need to get up to the cabin to recharge my batteries, glad you had the opportunity to do so. Snowing like crazy there today.
Boat still in the garage, new 998C not installed, huge snow piles all over the yard, etc. Really need to get in the boat and rip some lips.

Pug, I kept waiting for a gtg on Medicine lake?
Me too
This winter got to me. I suppose it could be done in the next couple of weekends. I don’t think they are driving on Medicine, at least not from Harty’s. It might actually be a good time for it. Maybe go on from French. And by on I mean park in the park and walk on.

Our oldest daughter recently moved back home and is in the process of buying a townhome. She turns twenty five this summer and is doing pretty well. She came home today and plopped down in a chair and said “I’m too young to be a slave to the man”
