Just returned from Cabo. Only fished one day…..Very odd for me. But other “obligations” kept me close to home.

Fishing was “interesting” as conditions were varied. Windy on the Pacific side. Caught Dorado (very unusual for this time of year) and did some fly fishing for Roosters.

Guide would tease Roosters in close enough to take fly by pulling large bait back to the boat – laced thru the eyes – no hook.

Also was able to get on a wide open snapper bite that was the result of a red crab bait ball in the middle of the Sea of Cortez.

No Tuna. No Pargo. No Grouper. Some Spanish Mackeral

No shore / surf casting this year. 3 children made this impossible

Also bait shortage and no silversides….Waters have stayed much warmer – all season

Grey Whales were still around and fun to see with their calves, starting to make their way back to AK.

    Dog

    Always fun

That sounds incredible! Fly fishing for Roosterfish is definitely on my list.
