Lots of moving parts… Can you find anywhere that states life expectancy of a unit like this. Or how much maintenance is required to keep it functioning properly. These would be the first couple questions I ask…third would be price.

That looks slick and workable. I would want to try before buying but they certainly worked in a lot of versatility. I don’t see a lot of maintenance issues. If you don’t have a camera (and I do have one) it could be very functional. Slippery conditions could be the only downside I see. They don’t mention it, but putting the trailer/boat in the garage should certainly be simplified where a camera is rendered useless.

I looked at the video and thought this solves the problem I have. Getting the boat in the garage at the lake around a 90 degree turn in the driveway, 1″ of clearance on each side requires pushing it in by hand. The incline right at the door makes that very difficult. I thought this looked like the perfect solution. That is until I read the reviews on eTrailer and Amazon. There are enough 1 star reviews and the 1 star reviews on eTrailer were validated by the president of trailervalet. It looks like they have a lot of work to do on quality.

Hopefully they will get past it, because once they do, I would be happy to buy one.

Also note, on their site they have a video on how to change the tires on the unit. That coupled with a couple reviews makes me think the tires are poor quality and need to be replaced.

Speaking to just the issue of hooking up your trailer; I purchased a $50.00 after market back up camera and am completely satisfied. I watched the video and I’d still go with the back up camera for getting hooked up to the trailer.
