I have the blue Nils hand auger that i purchased after hearing you all rave about it.

There is also an orange Nils auger that is often shown with the cordless drill.

Am I able to use a cordless drill with the blue 8″ that i currently own? If so, do I need to buy a special drill or special attachment?

Where do you recommend I go to buy a replacement blade?

    Thanks in advance

You don’t say were you live but, if you go to Caleba’s I bought an adapter to fit on the end of my 6 inch auger. I looked on the web but, could not find it. Must be off season for nils. I believe dit cost around 50 bucks. As far as a ele-drill you would have to buy a very high torque drill to cut thought the ice. Over 600 in’s of torque is a good starting point. The thicker the ice the less hole you will get. This year you would have to have a few more batteries because of the thickness of ice. In your booklet that came with your auger you should beable to buy new cut blade for your nils. Good luck!!!

I notice you have a post on ice forum side. That adapter is not like the one I have. My adapter is made to go on the out side of the blue auger with a bolt thought it. Just take a good look at it. Heads up!!
