I’ve got 5 seconds of fame and a few sentences in the opening segment. But it is good enough. The irony is that the guy talking the most is Joe Schneider who wants all accesses controlled, gated and mandatory AIS Checkpoint Charlies. Seeing myself in this video is a testament to the dangers of editing LOL

No amount if money sent to pay for inspections will stop things from making it in our lakes. Keeping access to public water closed isn’t a good answer either. It is a losing battle.

Check the back of the fishing regs book, If I remember correctly there were 50 new lakes added to the Zebra muscles list last year alone. (this years regs)

    Can anyone say exponential growth?

I’ll bet if they do shut accesses down they wont reopen should the lake become infected anyways. Those people want private lakes as much as clean lakes.

    My two cents worth.

If they shut it down and it gets infected, which we know it will, the lake shore owners should have to pay for any treatment or clean-up etc. caused by the infection. You want private you get everything that goes with it including the expenses.

There is only one known way to clean a lake. Drain it and let it dry in the sun for 90 days.

I am a Sportsman and work in real estate in the West Metro. I am continually frustrated and baffled by the opinions of some lake shore owners and lake associations. Not all by any means, but many have the attitude of lake “ownership” when it is a public body of water. The drain water, check boat and trailer for weeds and invasive rules are good. BUT, they are already in place. Enforce those rules to the limit with what enforcement is in place. Educate those uneducated. What we can not do is let access to public waters be denied under the guise of invasive species. That unfortunately is what too many of those that finally reach the Holy Grail of lake shore ownership want not only thrust upon us, but also want public dollars spent for enforcement.

Can’t stop it. Can’t slow it.
Can’t open your eyes to realize it’s not all bad

Might as well throw more money at it.
