Everts Resort – Old news to some

I made my first trip down to Everts on Monday in quite a few years. I didn’t go at all during the last owners stint because of all the horror stories I had read on here. I’ve seen through my IDO eyes that the new owners Steve and Kari have turned it around into the place it once was again. The first thing I noticed when I walked in was they are trying to help put you on the bite. Kari was helping another guy explaining to him how to fish the eyes’ pointing out a few jigs and plastics that had been working well. She finished up helping him and as he was leaving gave him a friendly “Good luck and Have fun”. I quietly listened to the exchange between her and this angler while I was picking out a few bags of plastics and jigs. Steve made his way back into the shop and immediately jumped on the phone to let a customer know he had minnows back in stock. It’s this kind of service that shows these folks are there to help us have a good experience. Never saw either of them without a smile on their even during the craziness that is Zmarch on P4 and after having hundreds of boats coming in over the past few days. I introduced myself to them, had a little talk about the IDO family and out the door with a friendly “Good luck and Have fun”. I just wanted to share my experience for those that haven’t been down in a while. It’s worth the trip! And the fish are biting!! Steve and Kari it was a pleasure to meet you. Hopefully I can get back down soon.

Thanks for sharing your view > it’s what everyone is saying. Like you, I haven’t been there since Steve & Kari have re-groomed Everts. Hope to get up there as soon as this damn elbow surgery allows it.

It’s always refreshing to hear the positive side of things. I’ve been wanting to get back up to upper P4 for a long time. Just my luck, Brian would be standing there in a pink speedo sexting minnows
