I thought it was another great show… decent fishing, and always enjoy the tone and message! Enjoying the trip, and keeping it fun, even though it was obviously cold as heck, again.

?? The rods they were using pan fishing, are those noodles, or? I hate using spring bobbers but do, those looked pretty darn sensitive?

I haven’t watched the show yet since it hasn’t been uploaded.. but it would either be the TUCR precision noodle or the TUCR quicktip.

Both James and Joel were fishing with TUCR Precision Noodles.
Let me know if you have anymore questions.

    Thank you.

Yea, and James handled not catching one pretty well. Part of the personality think I like about the show.

Thanks for the info on the rod… I’ll check the site again. Last time I did it almost cost me some $$

I don’t know about that. Before he said anything, I thought he started to look a little agitated. I am being serious. And when I say agitated, I am not using it strongly, but I have been there where it gets mildly frustrating.

when Joel said something about his jighead being a wrecking ball, an image of Miley humping that one guy shot through my head. I wonder how many times they actually got stuck!

Thanks Cycle Guy. Here’s the show on Youtube.

Video Details: Season 8 – Episode 15. Ice Fishing. James Holst and In-Depth Outdoors Pro Staffer Joel Nelson take the snowmobiles off trail to access a hidden gem crappie lake then end the day at sundown fishing for eelpout. Joel proves he is a much better eelpout angler than James.

Don’t forget to set those DVRs or tune in next Sunday at 8AM on FSN to catch the show!

Totally agree, and that is what made it fun, and enjoyable. We’ve all been there, sitting next to our buddy… he is catching fish, and we are spectating. The real side of it… and it isn’t hidden and was even joked about. My wife was with me, doesn’t fish, but found it entertaining as well.

Agitated? Annoyed? You’re dang right! Joel and I have a healthy competition between us and while we both like to see the other guy succeed the truth is each of us always wants to catch at least one more than the other guy. When Joel catches all the fish… James not happy!

Do I see an Eelpout rematch in the makings???
    I would pay admission to witness a 1 vs 1 “pout-off!”
Or even better yet, get the whole IDO Pro-staff out for a Lawyer Brawl, winner takes all!
