Anything new in prescription sunglasses? Anyone really happy with their prescription sunglasses or really unhappy? Brands, models, colors? I’m looking to try ordering some on-line.

I have Oakley prescription sunglasses with red iridium lenses. I already had the eye jackets and then had Oakley make new lenses for them. I have been more than happy with them.

Last summer I splurged and got myself a pair. After going back to the eye Dr. for the third time I finally gave up. Every pair either made me sick (like motion sickness) or just messed up my eyes. The clarity was perfect but messed my ability to judge distance. For example I walked to a Kwick Star and missed the door handle with my hand.

At the third visit the guy looked at me and asked why they let me get wraps? Said there were the hardest prescription to make… What a deal…

    Good Luck!

I just got a pair of Columbia Borrego ? bifocals about a month ago. I got tired of the tinted lenses and the “transition” lenses so this is my first pair of prescription sunglasses. So far so good. Got them at a local box store eye center.

Solar bats are great and have a good frame warranty. Single vision run $300. I had my first pair ten years, I have a new pair ordered.

Yup, I wanted a pair of Costa Del Mars that had a slight wrap to them. When I talked to the salesperson about it she looked at my prescription and said my vision is too bad to work with any wrap type glasses.
