Can you imagine if Russia invades the Ukraine and we think that we need to go over there and protect them?

That is actually scary – Nukes and all.

I say let them kill each other and hopefully, we can keep our noses out of this one.

I don’t want any of our boys in harm’s way for that part of the world

A lot of people will lose a lot of money if the US war machine cuts back.

    Just follow the money.

EXACTLY!!!!!!!! But you never hear that reality on the news…

Sadly, lives are priceless and an unfortunate part/loss of how the real war world works.

I agree. Best to stay out of it or give the “old” Russia more worldwide power? History speaks for itself…

History would seem to suggest that if we can just be patient, Russia tends to implode on its own about every 50 yrs or so

Hmm, and how many people, including media heads, scoffed and ridiculed Mitt Romney when he said Russia posed the greatest threat and we shouldn’t pander to them.

Where’s that reset button? Pun intended.

The Ukrainian people who have been protesting and brought about the downfall of the government last week aren’t going to roll over for the Russians. They know what they are fighting for and they will protest the Russians too. It may turn into a bloodbath; but there is no way they are going to lie down and give up, IMHO.

This photo is of a close friend of mine, Tom Johnson, on the right. He is a journalist and is with Brian Bonner, the chief editor of the Kiev Post in Ukraine. We just had dinner earlier in the week upon his safe return from the Ukraine. He said he stayed a little longer than he probably should have and was very happy to be in the air homeward bound.

Hillary and Obama are getting their great “reset” with Russia, a reset of the cold war and walls in Eastern Europe. If only we had Reagan back.

Great… all we need is another reason for a president to have to prove something. Tomorrow morning’s news/ talk shows will be wide open on this. Smart thing Russia did, went in without any threats, no talk, just do it. Hard to tell them to stay out after they’ve already made the first move. We always seem to rattle the sword so long it becomes a bigger mess.

Agree, this is going to get worse, and very quick. I think too quick for Obama to get into trouble, I hope.

The other countries no longer fear the United States and more importantly they don’t respect the Unites States.
    We lost in Viet Nam.
    We lost Afghanistan.

Their is no reason for them to think they wouldn’t win against us in their own back yard.

The wild card will be China. Neither the United States or Russia can risk trouble with China.

My guess is their will be a lot of posturing by the United States but ultimately Russia settles this thing themselves.

The thing to fear is Obama’s currant legacy is a failed economy for 8 years, will he be OK with that?

Pray for our troops across the world, they ultimately pay the price for non-existent leadership.

I hope your right, but history also shows that every 50 years or so the big dogs of the world have to fight it out. It’s been the model for thousands of years and the world is overdue for a big one. Sadly, I’ve always thought that in my lifetime I will see WW 3, and it would be Russia and/or China versus the US.

This situation is scary and I don’t scare easily.

Weak president that has no respect worldwide.

Our country will find itself in a real awkward situation with Russia and China. China can’t afford to let us fall. Russia would love to bait our weak president into a showdown.

This is not good for USA.

…and I think Russia/Putin is looking for a fight. The Olympics were an embarassment. Their economy sucks. Their govenment is corrupt and ineffective.

The real question is, how will this effect the price of tungsten jigs?

Obama needs to keep his mouth shut and let them do what they want. Time we stop playing babysitter to the world.

    Right on Kevin!

Our country needs to stop butting our noses in other countries business’.

Mandate all U.S. companies production at least 60% here in the U.S.
If the current admin can get away with obamacare well they should do the same with oustsourcing.

The US is not perfect, but IMO it’s the best game in town.

Spend an hour or two on Youtube watching downloads from Russia. Not weird videos-just people videoing everyday life. Pay attention to the details. Condition of their houses, cars, roads, teeth… Watch the way people act towards eachother. Russia isn’t a different country, It’s a different world.

My point was our economy sucks.
Our government is every bit as
    Corrupt as theirs.

I know our way of life is better.

My friend Tom that I mentioned earlier travels extensively and gets a pretty good feel for other countrys views of Obama. He is viewed as having more of a king mentality rather than a presidential one. More importantly is that our problems are bigger than Obama, it’s the people that vote for him. The population has shifted from hard workers to people expecting handouts.
Bottom line is how we’re viewed has dramaticly changed and that’s sad.

These might be two of the dumbest quotes I have ever read. Ever.

You think there are no differences? There must be some sort of differences, and major ones at that, because I do not recall seeing any news reports of illegal immigration INTO Russia being an issue. If people from all over the work will leave everything behind to come here for a better chance, I would say that despite not being perfect, we are still looking like the best game in town.
