I have dirty grout in my kitchen, I need it cleaned. Does anybody have a safe relatively clean way to remove grime from grout without using a whole pile of chemicals?

ok, I know I kid around on here a lot

but when I saw this topic, I honestly thought it said “Cleaning Pout”

was all ready to give detailed instructions on skinning ’em, then taking the backstraps and the tail fillets

had a good chuckle when I realized my error

good luck with your kitchen floor, the best suggestion I have is vinegar or maybe vinegar and baking soda, hot water, a scrub brush and some elbow grease

    Oxiclean:
Oxiclean is a name-brand oxygen bleach product. These cleaners claim to clean nearly as effectively as bleach, but they do not contain harsh chemicals. While you can use regular chlorine bleach to clean white grout, it could fade colored grout and the process might leave behind bleach stains on your clothing. Instead of risking these issues, try to clean your dirty grout with a simple Oxiclean solution. Best of all, you won’t have to resort to any vigorous scrubbing to complete this task.

When I worked in restaurants we use to use good old Coca Cola to clean the grout. Poor it on the grout and let it sit for a few minutes, then get a hot bucket of water and mop it up, follow it by mopping up with Tide or another powder detergent. Worked like a charm.

Soaked the grout/floor with Oxiclean for 1/2 an hour, tried to sponge mop without promising results. So then I pulled out a magic eraser and worked each grout line with that and the Oxiclean. All the dirt came up and my grout looks pretty darn good. Thanks for the help!
