Exactly what I was thinking… I’d guess they will be very busy for the next 5 days.
February 26, 2014 at 9:14 am #1391804I think those people will be busy, its a good idea for them to offer it, i wonder what happens if they were to break down or get stuck. I thought there might be some shacks for sale cheap with a you remove sign

That’s a great point. Since you are hiring them it would make sense to me that they assume the responsibility in the case of mechanical failure or additional effort associated with getting stuck, but I think it is something that should be brought up when making the arrangements.
Now if it was a case of friend coming to help out and they break down then I would say then the house owner should pay for repairs.

If your house is still on the ice tomorrow your problem is going to be worse.desperadoPosts: 3010February 26, 2014 at 9:41 am #1391812Quote:

February 26, 2014 at 11:13 am #1391837A few ads posted for that service:
Here is another for Wright County Lakes:
Need your house removed by the Feb. 28th deadline? $75/hour please call with questions or to make arrangements.Litchfield area
Concerned about getting your fish house off the lake? Will remove houses within 30 miles of Litchfield. Email me your location and situation I will give you an estimate.Twin Cities:
With all of this snow, I have noticed lots of fish houses still on the lake with tons of snow around them. My husband and I own a Jeep Rubicon with Mattracks that is pretty wicked in the snow.We have seen lots of people trying to get their house off of the lake by using a 4 wheel drive truck, but it doesn’t work. He got a call this week from someone who knew we had the jeep and asked if we could get his fish house off of the lake. It worked GREAT! This gave him the idea to offer this service to other people in the same predicament.
We are located about 1 hour South of the twin cities, so there’s definitely some mileage that will be incurred. The cost is $200 per house, plus mileage. So, this means get a group of you together so he can make one trip and the cost will be cheaper! You can call or text him at x0x-00x-0x00
He was on Lake Minnetonka ALL DAY today taking fish houses off of the lake!
Note: You will need to have your fish house “loosened” from the ice, so all He will need to do is hook up and pull it to shore. We want this to be quick and efficient, so there’s time to help everyone.
Look them up on CL for numbers/names, etc.

$200 if you do it now, $335 later… even an Iowa boy can figure that one out.

He is a Clown, give him a break. Maybe CRC and Pug are splitting the extra $100
desperadoPosts: 3010castle-rock-clownPosts: 2596February 26, 2014 at 5:52 pm #1391978200 plus mileage, yeah, that’s what I’m going with. Plus a 15% gratuity. It’s like the electronics I bought for my boat. I got the estimate, but then had to add all the extra cables and switches, fasteners, and wiring. $$$…OK, I flunked math.
