Apparently, or at least that’s what the thought is, someone in Wabasha took a walk out on the ice and went thru. The video showed open water only feet from where the person was supposed to have gone in. This was on our local news tonight at 6.

    What’s with people anymore?

Sadly, this was a person intentionally taking their own life.

That is what I thought…one way tracks 40 yards straight toward the open channel. They have found her body.

    Sad.

Oh man. I wish there was some kind of big red easy button people could push before they do something like that so you would know who really needs the help. I can’t imagine the absolute desolate state of mind it would take to walk yourself off the ice into a frozen river. Rest in peace.

Interesting statistic from a psychiatrist. over 95% of the people that commit suicide never intended to kill themselves. Most often they are in a state of mind that numbs them so bad and they just want the “feeling” to go away. My heart goes out to the many families that have a loved one suffering from severe depression. The emotions are well beyond what most of us can understand.

Randy – we’ve never met but I’ve read a few of your responses here on IDO. You have an amazing gift of empathy for others. If only that could become infectious for more people…. IMHO

Why are humans afflicted with mental challenges & disorders so misunderstood?

More information should be available before announcing this was suicide.

Prayers to the families & friends affected by this tragic event.

I’d have to mirror Kurt Turner’s comments here.

I hit the sheets early last night to read and missed the late news…. I got up unaware that the party had been found. Prayers to the family.
