Can someone help me with these jigs.. Notice the hook this is the key for these jigs. Name and where I can find them. Or even where I might be able to find a mold. Any help would be appreciated.. Thanks in advance

isn’t that a jig a whopper jig? used to be made in the Mankato area…they were big back in the late 1980’s .. the lindners wrote an article about them.. how great they were for walleyes.. there was another company back then as well. Blue Heron out of the cities..

Looks to me like a Northland Tackle Fire-Eye Minnow.

After further research it could very well be a Northland jig.

I see that Northland does place their eyes up by the hook eye and Jig-A-Wopper places the eye down by the hook itself.

anyone know if I can have a mold made to make these jigs. I have jig a whopper jigs that are close and some of the northland jigs neither seem to catch fish like this jig… Its pretty amazing two jigs that look the same, produce so much more fish. Don’t know what it is! Thanks for the help and maybe with a little more help I can find more or better yet make some..

Snyder’s Lures & Legacy is now owned by Gary Snyder, the originator of the Jig-A-Whopper company back in the ’80’s. They are in Dodge Center, Mn. He would know where you can get this lure or maybe have them himself. I think Gary can be reached at 507-374-2955 during business hrs.

Say hello to Gary from me. I worked with him in the beginning days of the Jig-A-Whopper era and later with him when he originated Bad Dog Lures also.

FYI–Northland copied the original Jig-A-Whopper lure in this picture.
