They keep up with these penalties and there will only be 2 goalies on the ice

Just read the post and turned on the TV. The picture wasn’t even on yet but all I heard was GOAL!!!! Gold medal goes to Canada… Congrats to them, but I sure feel for the ladies on the other side of the rink.

You sure can see the competitive spirit amongst many of these women. Many of our ladies getting their Silver and looking quite up set. I think 2nd place is most difficult to accept from a personal level.

Agree. They were 3 1/2 minutes from gold. Same as 2010. I watched the entire game and gotta admit it was very entertaining, I feel for them. They represented the country well!

Disappointing to say the least. Hopefully the men can make amends.

I find women’s Olympic hockey, and even college hockey, very entertaining.

The mens team better make up for this. Im still in shock! It was a very entertaining game to watch but I cant believe we lost. That one is going to sting for awhile.

Hopefully not . That was a great game to watch, both teams left all they had on the ice. Hopefully the men’s game is as good to watch.

    And we win 5-2

Epic choke? I don’t follow hockey, let alone the ladies. But up 2-0 in the 3rd seems like it should have been a pretty safe lead. Feel bad for them.

Tough to say, on paper or reading the box scores I would say yes but after watching the game they played hard and smart the whole team played well just got a couple bad bounces. ie, hit the post on an empty net. They came out hard and took control of the OT right away as well but had to take a penalty and it was down hill from there…

x 2 agree…those getting a Bronze beat someone! It’s metal or nothing….Silver is like the consolation prize….like you just got beat!

They blew a 2 goal lead in an earlier game to the Canadians in the same tournament. The US woman haven’t beaten the Canadians the last 18 times they’ve faced them. The second US goal shouldn’t even have counted…..her right foot was in the crease. They were outplayed for most of the game with the majority of the play from the red line down to the American net. You can’t let them skate around in front of your own net and expect to win. No doubt about it, the better team won.
