some how I hear some sarcasm I was in Chicago for the last two days. They were really getting ramped up for some serious flooding on the Des Planes river. Melting is good in moderation

No sarcasm. I really hate to see it go.

Dave Dahl said it will be worse then forecasted. Talking about “thunder snow” this evening.

The roads went from slippery to treacherous in 15 minutes out here in the NW metro. So glad to be home safe and sound. Wife’s flight from Chicago was cancelled early today which is good. I’d hate to have her on the road tonight.

It’s done here, just the wind, but we missed the snow, we are brown all over. We need the moisture!

The snow can go but leave the ice…got some slabs to get before spring.

Should be a good year for pheasants as long as we don’t have too wet a spring

Why, are they reinstating a lot of lost CRP?

    Bah! 3-4″, max.

    So I was wrong…once.

I called in to work to make sure we were not closed, drove in, and they apparently decided to close while I was driving in. Not going to complain too much about a free day off, but make the call before 7:00, please!

I then came across a woman high-centered in a massive plow pile on the I94/Boone Ave ramp, so I stopped and spent 20 minutes shoveling snow from under her Highlander and then pushing her out. Fun, fun, fun, but I figured it was the MN thing to do.

You’re a Saint Ryan. Nothing like helping someone out. I went to the grocery store and had to run one quick errand afterward. It had just begun to snow when I got almost to the grocery store and I came home by the same route less than ten minutes later. There were two vehicles completely off the road on a straight stretch of street, absolutely nothing to dodge or avoid. It looked like one followed the other, the lead car wrapped around a tree. Strange to see them sitting atop of a four foot snowplow berm for no apparent reason. The cops were already there so I kept on getting on. Its amazing that the streets took a dive so fast. Ten minutes. It was bad.
