Fiberglass repair

Looking for fiberglass repair for my glass Lund in the Twin Cities metro area, preferably southern metro.

Lesson learned – dont run without keel guard!

In addition, does anyone experience small scratches on the bottom of their glass boat where the hull contacts the bunks? I have carpet on my bunks and I attribute the scratches to sand in the carpet. Should I be concerned about the overall integrity or longevity of the gel coat given minor scratches?

    Thanks for any help!

Shipwreck boat repair is in Princeton. However I think they have a shop in the South metro someplace also. Anyway, if not they will pick the boat up from you if need be. Their number is 763-389-9201

For boat repair, I’ve had Imperial Boat Repair over here in Hudson do work for me. No major repairs but they’ve done an excellent job on what I’ve had. As for sand in the carpeting, I solved that issue last winter. Recycled plastic lumber is the way I went. jerr

Where may I ask did you find this ‘plastic lumber’ and how did you mount it? Over the old bunk lumber>

This may be a dumb question…any difference when loading the boat onto these vs. carpet?
