Gander in Lakeville has Shimano Sahara 500FD’s on sale for $39.99. Not sure if that sales is at all Gander store or not. That is 1/2 price off of retail. Great deal for the $. I put one on my new TUC noodle rod. They match great.
I haven’t really had a pleasant shopping experience at gander, but I’d go to get that deal! 
I’d rather buy another Tica Cetus GV500 off Amazon for $34, with free shipping and no tax than give Gander any of my money.
I hear ya on that Munchy. I was interested when I saw the sahara for $40, but when I saw it’s on sale at Gander I tried to forget I even saw the deal.. Maybe have to price match it somewhere..

I should have posted earlier, I bought all 8 the woodbury store had yesterday morning. They weren’t posted @ $40, but they did a price check and that was the listed price. 
We’ll probably see more sales on that reel if anybody still has them.. Discontinued reels usually get sold out quick though.
Good deal, I guess I should have asked if they had more and not assume the ones one the shelf was it… my buddy got 4 more for me in EP.

Blaine had a ton of them. Not even a regular price marked on them. Asked the guy what the price was, and told him they were on clearance at another gander mtn store. He didn’t even know they were on clearance. Looked at me after looking them up and said he was going to grab one after seeing that price. I walked out the door shaking my head, I’m not even an employee and I sold a reel. This add has probably sold a good couple dozen reels at least. A great reel, at half price, and not even marked or advertised? Hysterical! I have no problem getting a reel for half price from gander. How they stay in business is baffling?
It’d be nice if there was a good competitor for Cabela’s, that would bring competition and options for consumers. You’d think gander could figure enough out to at least place 2nd in a 2 horse race, instead of dead last all the time.

Picked up 3 of these at Gander in Mankato today. There was about 6 more on the shelf.
Picked one up today in Mankato and they still have 7 more on the shelf. Now I have to get another tucr rod to put it on.
I picked up one from Lakeville today, it seems it is a couple year old model, the box says it was printed in 2008. There is a small amount of rubbing, which makes it less smooth than my Sedona. Has anyone else had this problem? I’m debating bringing it to another Gander to see if they have the more recent model.
