    It’s been a while since I’ve been out before dawn with the kind of thick fog we had this morning. I thought I knew which direction I was going but ended up way off course. Yikes! The Mississippi Queen could have been out there and i never would have seen her. It was good to see everyone using their running lights and moving slowly.

    I don’t go out in the kind of fog we had. Barges are just way too quite compared to the purr of my outboard.
