Feb 10 and seen a flock of robins flies around the house. Sometimes we have robins stay around all year long even in the hard winters, but this year there was not a robin for the last few months. I guess spring is just around the corner.

I hope they get up to SE WI soon, and bring 50 and 60 degree weather with them. Always good seeing the first ones arrive!!!!! Just have to get rid of a ton of snow first.

    We’ve had a small flock ( 10-15) where I work all winter..,
It’s right next to marsh + we have a bunch of crabapples that they feed on..

But ….they have started to sing in the mornings now

I’ve been seeing them all winter here. I blame them for the overly cold winter. I realize they probably have nothing to do with it, but I don’t care.

Had a flock of mallards fly in and land in the springs next to our house this past Sunday.
We’ve seen tons of geese feeding on the fresh manure our local farmer spreads on the fields but this is the first bunch of ducks I’ve seen since December.

With a little luck, spring may be just around the corner.

30’s and 40’s forecast for next week… should get things stirring around.

I’ve noticed the cardinals have started singing in the mornings too. Right on schedule for them! There is light at the end of the tunnel

The Decorah Eagle cam is up and running… The eagles are not sitting yet though. Any day I would think…

The squirrels were going at it a couple weeks ago, a sure sign of spring.

Ya Wahly, thats a sure sign of spring too. It looks like theres early and late signs of spring. Whats encouraging is look at your 30 day forcast on the web, I’ve been doing it for over a month waiting for warmer weather and the temps have been fairly accurate.
