My question is, do I need to buy more than one chip? I want it for rainy, boundary waters, and upper red.

Also, if anybody has an older chip they wanna sell let me know!

Being that Lake of the Woods and Rainy is on one chip I would assume you need another one for the other lakes you mentioned!

Ugh! Kinda frustrating to have to spend $250 in chips just to fish one state

If you have a Smartphone take a look at Navionics. I bought the $10 version from the google play store and you get unlimited maps. It works great for me and I highly recommend it.

Check out the Nav + chip from Navionics 180.00 you can have all the lakes you fish on one chip from Canada to the Gulf.

You download the lakes you fish on the chip, you can put Canada and US lakes on one chip. You get the SonarCharts high def contours on the chip. With Humminbird you can log sonar and improve mapping.

Would you be kind enough to check if the houseboat campsites are marked on your rainy lake map? This is the app I am looking to buy, but it’s no good to me without the hoseboats sites. Thanks!

What do you mean by Houseboat sites? Camping areas?

Yes, houseboat camping sites. There are many official docking “campsites” throughout the lake specifically designed for houseboats. On the Rainy Lake Houseboat web site’s maps, they appear as anchors. Ultimately, I would like to have these available on my smart phones GPS.
