    Seems to me this is starting to happen with more frequencywhere are the safety checks??? Maybe they should require sensors or some alarm system
    No reports of any kill, yet! but with the ice it’ll be difficult to assess!

    Doesn’t sound like it will be any issue at all for the river, or any thing else for that matter.

    Reading the one comment at the end of the story I have never heard that 3/4 of the oil tankers do not meet safety standards. Has anyone ever heard this or know more about it? A quick Google search turned up nothing.

    I did hear about the non-compliance to safety after the derailment near Fargo, and the explosion that ensued.

    I also heard mention that with the crude melting the snow the run off will under the ice…Damage might be minimal this time, but with 3/4 of the fleet of rail cars at risk, it puts a lot of the environment at risk!
