“Well… thanks to a Superbowl ad, I am now a Scientology convert.”…. said no one ever.

I was a little stunned to see that commercial during the SB.

As in many past years, the really good football was played in the weeks leading to the “Big Game”

I better clarify that…Seattle played great. The entertaining football was already played.

    THANK GOD…

Said the guy with this tattoo.

The best team in the league won it this year. It isn’t even close.

Watching that defense makes the NFC north defenses look like they play in the Pop Warner North division. Even when Denver receivers caught balls, there was not much in the way of yards after catch, and there were a lot of big hits and forced turnovers. You can throw in Seattle’s special teams there who repeatedly stopped Denver’s returners short of the 20 yard mark on kick offs.

Those Seattle receivers may be a bit underrated too. How about that TD by Kearse?

I think the most surprising stat of the night was:
Marshawn Lynch RB 15 carries, 39 yards, one TD

Pug, it was all Seattles defense. It was midway thru the fourth and I realized I hadn’t really heard much if anything of Lynch or Russel Wilson. They dominated and put up a lot of points in a fairly quiet way.
    Very good team.

The Pack could have taken it to the Seahawks.

There. Might as well get that out of the way. Somebody had to say it.

What a meltdown. SuperSuckBowl is more like it. Game blew buttski, halftime show blew buttski, commercials blew buttski.

Thank heaven that there was a Swamp People marathon running on History Channel or there’d have been nothing worth watching on all 500 sat channels.

I think we should reserve judgment on Percy Harvin until he plays more than 10 games for Seattle.

Does it really matter what Harvin does from here on in?

I’m pretty sure the Vikings would make a deal with the devil if he would bring a Super Bowl win.

Harvin wasn’t the reason the Seahawks won, but he did put a charge into that team with his return. The game ended when he crossed the goal line.

I think the Vikes made out pretty well dealing Harvin. And I think what he did last night may have made it worth it to the Seahawks, even in his limited touches.

Harvin will most likely be one of the greatest “Could Have Been” player in the NFL.

Best tweet (second hand) This cracked me up:

Use promo code PEYTON when ordering a Papa John’s pizza & when it’s delivered to your house, a Seattle DB will take it from you and eat it…

He had that nice run on the first drive and another good carry, besides the return. Sure, they win without him, but what he did was a nice contribution.

    My take on Harvin-
There is no doubt he is very talented and I can see where saying “I’m glad he’s gone” could be seen as sour grapes.
Fast forward to the end of his career and I think the concensus will be he really could have achieved a lot if it wasn’t for his attitude. I wouldn’t be surprised if he’s out of the league in three years.

I honestly don’t think the Vikes could have done any better replacing Harvin than by drafting Patterson, in fact I think we’re better off. He’s bigger, a lot bigger and appears to be sane. Time will tell.
