buying a new receiver and ball

want to replace my receiver hitch and ball. My boat and motor package weigh around 2000pds so the gtw specs are easy enough to see what I need, but how do you know what kind of rating you need for tongue weight.

U could weight the tongue or if U can lift it by hand — U should B good with a class II hitch — U could get by with a class I — but U never know when U might pull something heavier

guessing U have a 2″ coupler
