Should have been called the “Pontoon show”. One of the most pretentious events I’ve ever attended. Not one 2010 pro guide in the entire building. Not impressed.

I would have to agree 100%. Another thing I was wondering while walking around was, where are the Warriors and the Tuffy’s? Not that I am in the market to purchase a boat, but I would have loved to look at them as well. Between the HUGE pontoons and the other yachts they had on show, only a handful of fishing boats were here. I guess it was called the boat show and now I know that they have a lot of other boats than just the plain jane fishing boat. Overall it was still cool to see all the different types boats.

I took out long term loans on both of my boats. Paid the first one off in two years and should have the second one done in four. If you don’t like to borrow money, don’t borrow money. If you want a new boat and you can swing it, don’t let some grouch stand in the way of your dreams.

Two of my best friends in high school had their fathers drop dead in their forties. I for one am not going to waste my life saying ” maybe next year “.

    Good Luck.

    X2!

I work hard for my money and I am not going to let someone tell me how I should spend it. I think it’s funny on how this post blew up on the different views people have on purchasing boats. I don’t care how people pay for their things, as long as they are happy and love the decision they made that is all that matters. Plus the person that takes out loans and pays them off will have a much higher credit score then the guy that pays cash for everything. Everyone here knows how the economy runs off your credit score now days. To each their own, but I will never regret taking money from a bank and having to pay them back. Never have had a problem yet and don’t foresee a problem in the future!

Keep a eye out for Warrior or the other boat dealers to do another on the water demo this summer. Free and 1000 times better than a boat show. Getting to hop in a number of boats and drive them is way better than standing around staring at them. Well maybe that is unless its January and cabin fever has set in pretty good.

Southside Marine in Waseca had a Warrior there. Might have been the prettiest boat in the show.

Really? Wish I could have seen it. I even walked the floor twice to double check.

What size Yamaha was on the back? Suzuki would be my #1 choice, but with those colors that motor finishes it off nicely.

That’s really a nice looking boat! I really like the roominess a tiller offers but have never owned one! Always had a console due to multiuse stuff, tubing etc… I’ve heard that changes in the steering are fantastic and the motor stays in place if your hand is to come off.
