Well, in the govts defense, their only known uses for drones are to kill innocent people without a trial and spy on Americans without a warrant…

Truth!
Anyone really think they were going to set up shop on a lake or multiple lakes to fly beer out to people?
But this has given me a good idea. You know how golf courses have beer carts (so I hear)? You see where I am going here? I am guessing that selling liquor on a public lake might also be frowned upon by the authorities.

You find a way to work golf into every thread
Pretty sure the beer case was empty in those vids. Those drones can’t lift much weight. So the whole thing is a scam from the get go.
And who doesnt bring enough beer ice fishing? Thats what the schanps is for!

Seems like they were on to something there and from what I read this morning in the paper ti was legit. Not only that but the testing was done on Mille Lacs.

Forgetting a rod is one thing but forgetting a beer? I’ld pay for delivery out to my house
Looks like advertising to me. No way that little drone lifts a 12 pack of bottled beer. Way too heavy.

IMO, the guy is a marketing genius. He created a buzz.
The logistical problems come from how exactly do the anglers pay for it on the ice? How much demand would there be when you generally bring beer with you to ice fish (yes, my beer ice fishes)? You obviously are not going to be able to fly all across the lake from some centralized location, you’d have to set up shop on lakes.
I think this guy saw the buzz the Amzon guy made on 60 minutes and just copied it hoping to go viral. Mission accomplished.
Now what was the name of the beer?
That being said I could see bars on lakes doing it as a gimmick and being able to charge higher prices.
