I posted a thread earlier today regarding my cabin fever and desire to go somewhere warm and play golf. Well that brought on a barrage of anti-golf slurs (all in good fun)
That got me thinking that there are some pretty avid golfers amongst us so I started a group where we can discuss the greatest sport without the fear of retribution. Hopefully there will be a good turnout.

Whoa, wait a minute, are you saying the sport of golf is better than the sport of fishing?? How dare you!!!

Actually, I golfed sober for the first time this summer and had a blast. Golfing with people that knew what they were doing made a difference too and if I didn’t fish so much, well, i’m pretty sure i’d be addicted to golf like I am fishing.

I was always told that the game of golf was invented for those who were not coordinated enough to fish.

Another gentleman said in the earlier post that golf is for people who can’t back up a trailer. Pretty good!

Can’t think of a better individual sport. It’s pretty much replaced fishing for me in the last 2 years. Of course, I focus on hunting now more than ever also so what little time I have goes to golf.

The last time I played golf I fell off the ball washer and broke my leg.

Contrary to popular belief we don’t all dress like Jesper Parnevik.

There is some pretty cool golf wear out there. The picture shows one from the Tabasco golf line that I have. Kenny Perry wore the Tabasco line. I’m not sure if he wore this one on tour but I liked it. I get quite a few golfers/fishermen that comment on it when on the links.
