If one of the gaming commissions get’s their act together and match my lottery numbers, a boat & truck manufacture and about a dozen friends will have a VERY nice day.

In fantasy land, I want both a new 21-I Class and a SX2250 (saltwater). Just love the fiberglass interior for cleaning

Yes – Looking at a Lund Pro Guide 1825. Have to size the 3rd stall Garage space and see what fits.

    300. A little overkill….just a little however I would have been satisfied with the 250, just a package deal that worked out and the price was right.

Nice! I thought the 250 would be plenty for me too, but the last boat was underpowered so I went with the 300 as well to alleviate any concerns. No regrets here!!!

    Enjoy!

Nice Boat Druvy; congrats! I looked very hard at one last spring and almost pulled the trigger. I do a fair amount of Salmon fishing and we just couldn’t come up with a good solid way to mount downriggers that would be easily removable. If we could have figured this out, there’s a chance I’d be in one too. Just out of curiosity, what motor did you go with?

I don’t think you’ll have a problem selling your old boat either. Now’s the time they start moving really well. I was stressed about getting my old boat sold after buying new, but it wasn’t a problem at all and it went very fast.

I am currently looking at a used Warrior 2090 and trading my Warrior 1890. Looking to rig the new one with HB 999 (new), swap my ipilot out of my boat and there I go — lots of space for our family of 4 and the dog!

Saw a Tracker Proguide v16 tiller with a 60hp motor on it at the sportsman show last year and really liked it. Been stashing away $$ for it since, maybe by next winter will pull trigger.

I’m not shopping for a new boat but I am planning on selling the one I do have in the not too distant future. It’s an S-16 Lund with a 35 HP Evinrude electric start. DIRTBALL2

Brian, I’m with you, man. Winter is for Eskimos. I just can’t get excited about ice fishing like I do open water fishing. And it’s been WAY too cold and windy around here to fish the river (at least for this guy!). I’ve been going through tackle and studying fishing maps to get some sort of a fix, but it’s not working very well.

Anyway, I’m not looking for a boat this year but if you’re in the market I will give you my opinion on the new Skeeter WX1900 I got from Dean Marshall at Skeeter Boat Center last year. Now that I’ve had a full season to fish out of it I can honestly say I love this boat. It rides great even in rough water and I really like how much room I have in the cockpit. I fish with two other people in the boat quite a bit, and we usually remove the two back seats and just use the rear jumps seats when traveling on plane. That gives us a ton of room in the cockpit and that comes in really handy, especially when we’re pulling cranks all day. When my wife and kids hop in for some fun on the water we put the two rear pedestal seats back in and then we have seating for 6 very comfortably. I am loving this new Skeeter! If you’re in the market, take a look at one.

Best fishing purchase I have ever made

I think they will be at the boat show upcoming

Always shopping, just not buying for a few years. I did pull the trigger on a new to me outboard for the current boat, went the 4 stroke route with a Suzuki 140. No more upgrades after that for the year.

Thanks Wade, I’m not shopping at this point. Deep down I’m more of a tiller guy. I am pretty nervous about the new SBC in Ramsey. Yield not to temptation…..that’s what I keep telling myself.

The thread is just to see who is shopping.

I’m going to be selling my 14 foot lund Sportsman, the current iteration of this boat is the Rebel. 14.5 foot, 25 HP Johnson, 3 seats, etc. Nice little boat and I’ve done a lot of fishing with her.

I’ll put it up for sale in the spring and then buy something after it sells. It’s been a great boat, but unlike when I got it 10 years ago, I now have 2 boys who will be fishing with me, so time to upsize to a 16 footer.

I’ll miss the Lund, though. Back it in, push it off with 1 hand, all done launching. In the water in 1 minute and if the launch is deep enough to get the back roller wet, I have enough to launch. Great for small lakes.

I’ve hemmed and hawwed about weather or not I should sell off parts of it or sell the whole thing as one unit. I’m going to sell it all as a package, boat, motor, bow mount Minnkota, graph, everything goes in the spring.

I hate to do it, though. The best thing about my Lund is that I’m super picky when it comes to setup and maintainance, so EVERYTHING works. I hate jury rigged crap that doesn’t work, and most boats are LOADED with undersized, underengineered stuff. It takes years to get a boat sorted out, even when it’s brand new. So getting a new rig involves a lot of work to correct all the things like undersized wiring, small batteries, cheap trailer tires, etc, etc.

I wish I had enough room to store the replacement BEFORE I sell the lund, but that isnt’ going to happen. So there will probably be a little lag time between selling off the Lund and getting something new.

Oh yeah!!! Worked extra hours this year to get some money stashed away, I’ll probably try to get an older 16-18 ft tiller and put some sweet toys on it!
