If you receive a e-mail asking you if you want to wrap your car in Monster energy drink advertisement, its a scam. This mail made it through my junk mail filter and I replied for fun and received this e-mail in return. I then did a simple google search and found the scam. Here was the reply:

    Hello,

Here’s the basic premise of the “paid to drive” concept: Monster Energy Drink® seeks people — regular citizens, licensed drivers to go about their normal routine as they usually do, only with a big advert for “Monster Energy Drink®” plastered on your car. The ads are typically vinyl decals, also known as “auto wraps” that almost seem to be painted on the vehicle, and which will cover any portion of your car’s exterior surface.

This program will last for 3 months and the minimum you can participate is a month.
You will be compensated with $300 per week which is essentially a “rental” payment for letting our company use the space and no fee is required from you. Monster Energy Drink® will provide experts that would handle the advert placing on your car. Also, you will receive an up front payment of $300 in form of check via courier service for accepting to carry this advert on your car.
It is very easy and simple no application fees required. If interested, please reply with the following details below.

    Applicant information:
    Name:
Full Street Address (not PO BOX):
    APT #:
    City, State, Zip Code:
    Cell Phone Number:

Brian, I will wrap my truck in Brian Klawitter’s Trophy Catfish and Sturgeon adventures. There is no up fee. You just need to send me $300 via Western Union to pay the graphic artist.

I wonder if the scammers know the definition of the word advert, every time I see that word, I delete.

I googled up Monster car wrap scam and that was all I needed. Monster stated they do not pay for car wrap ads. I was not about to find out the play on the scam. I emailed the guy back and said I drive alot, I want $600 a week cash up front. Haven’t heard back

I Googled it too. What I saw was that they say no up front costs, but will ask for $ to pay for the graphic artist. That’s what I was alluding to in my post.
