I use the Sufix on all of my rigs. No issues here and have used it for 2-3 seasons. I like the lighter tests (12-15) because I can fit more colors on my reels. I use the accudepth 27lc on all my LC rods

I used the Suffix 832 Advanced leadcore the last two seasons, with no issues. I have 5 colors on Abu 6500LC’s. I use a 20 ft 10lb Flouro leader. A friend of mine did have some issues of the lead breaking and coming through the sheath. I didn’t have that problem.

I have had good luck with the Cabelas brand in 18#.Look to some of my posts in the Mille Lacs forum.

I may play with the Suffix 832 brand this coming season.

X-2 on the cabela’s stuff — must have had mine on for five years — no issues — went to suffix leadcore last year — had a couple break offs right at the leader knot onto lead line — never had that with the cabela’s stuff

Have not heard great reviews on the suffix 832 leadcore

just about pulled the trigger on it last year — glad I did not — been lots of reviews of lead issues coming thru braid

Sufix 832 advanced leadcore. I’ve been running the 12# for 2 seasons I’ve had no issues with the lead poking through that you’ve probably heard and are asking about. I can get 10 colors on my Daiwa 27’s and the sink rate is much better then the other stuff out there. I’ve found that at 2 mph it really is at 7′ per color. I use a small swivel to attach the leader which might be why I haven’t had any of the issues some others had stated. Good luck.

I think it is really important that you use a snap swivel, instead of just a snap if you tie the leader in to the leadcore with the willis knot, Red Phillips knot or whatever. If you don’t and foul the bait or get a fish that spins, you will have a kinked up mess in the leadcore. If you want to just use a snap, you need to use a small swivel to tie the leader to the leadcore. I have gone to a swivel with the 832 as it is really tough to tie a willis in this leadcore. I haven’t tried the Red Phillips knot but plan to this summer.
