Anyone ever bought one? Reduced price and a 1 yr warranty. Want to get the terrova 80 with universal sonar.

I bought one six years ago. No problems at all. I’m planning on doing it again with an I Pilot.

Who reconditioed it, minkota themselves? If price is right and its a factory warrantee, go for it. I think Cabelas has 90 day return policy, might get some open water before then.

Minnkota does it. From personal experience I feel very comfortable with Cabela’s customer service.

I would except I need to get my heavy dose of ice fishing in first. I’ll be ready by the end of Feb.

I have bought 3 reconditioned Minnkota’s over the years from the Motor Clinic. Never had to have one repaired.

For what it’s worth, the last fortune 500 company I used to work for would also sell “reconditioned” products…It was basically a customer return that was thoughouly tested/inspcted before it went back on the shelf for sale again at a reconditioned price. I suspect your MinnKota is also a customer return.

Last year I bought a reconditioned terrova from Cabelas, got it home, got it almost completely installed and found the transducer cord had been partially cut. After several phone calls to Cabelas and to Minn Kota to find out what they wanted to do with it I ended up exchanging the motor for another reconditioned motor. The second one I got, after installation found that the transducer in the motor did not work. Cabelas wanted Minn kota to fix it, Minn Kota wanted Cabelas to fix it, it was a giant pain in the butt, not to mention this was 2 days before I was taking my boat on vaction. I just ended up buying a new one after all that.
