Instead of fishing this weekend I’ll be stuck home watching football. I picked up some new vmc treble hooks and I’m going to swap out some of my old and small hooks.

What are you going to do to pass the time this weekend?

Not sure. Pretty disappointed with this winter.

Maybe head to the bow range and knock some rust off.

Wow just spent about an hour switching around about a dozen hooks. That was not fun and hard to do with some of the tiny split rings.

Going to go fishing in the morning and try to make the best of it.

Stay warm Mike. I’ll be headed to the Wild game tomorrow night.

It’ll get better. Maybe we’ll have 4′ of ice towards the end and be able to ice fish in 80 degree weather.

I’m hoping for a early spring or I might lose it. If not I might just have to hook up the boat and head south!!

Took a look at some climate forecasts and after this cold snap it looks like above normal temps. From Jan – July we have an even chance of above or below normal temps.

Note, this is not like a forecast. Climate forecasts basically percentage based predictions.

It would be interesting to look back at this forecast 2 weeks from now to see what Jan 9-17 actually was like.

I wish I had the chance to head out. We are in the process of moving to another town and have to pack up the house. I am guessing I might be done ice fishing (my favorite ) for the year. Hoping to sneek in day or two.
