One of my oldest fishing pals is coming up here from IL to go fishing for a week and we both ordered new precisions around the same time a few weeks ago. A quick message to John and they set the shipping up to send them both to my address so he can use his new rod while he’s here! You don’t get awesome customer service like that just anywhere. The only bad part is that now that my buddy is getting a TUCR rod as well I won’t have a 1 up on him…. Outside of the fact that mine is a few inches bigger.. Just sayin.

I just bought two of them a 28 and a 32, wraps are perfect, color is great have the split grip. THe TUCR guys were great with the customer service and finding out what kind of fishing I do and then they recommended what rod I should get. we are heading up to LOW for a father son trip and I cant wait to use them. Sorry the other guy had bad luck,
You can one up him and put his reel on backwards to start!!ahahahah you said he was a good friend right, well at least you would get 5 – 10 minutes of fishing in before he would.December 25, 2013 at 9:23 am #1374127Quote:
My TUCR looks like it was built buy a guy who was either drunk or it was his first day! The wraps are not good! I’m sticking with Thorne Bros! Bought a rod 4 years ago and a rod this year – GOOD QUALITY!
First report of that I have ever heard!
Mine is a stock 30″ noodle, the basic one they produce every day for their retail stores and shows. If anything you would think mine would be the one a company would “skimp out on” but its perfect. Absolutely perfect on every wrap, every epoxy spot, every guide.. its top custom rod quality in an over-the-shelf rod.

Knowing the guys at TUCR a quick call or text message or email and they would have stood behind that rod 100% !! And probably expedited the turn around for you. I have rods from both company’s and can’t say nothing but good for either one. I’m sure they would have made it right. MHO
December 26, 2013 at 9:13 pm #1374362So John said the rods would be shipping out today… I got home from work this afternoon and both rods were waiting on my doorstep! We were both anxious to seat the reels up and start fishing… got our first walleyes on the rods within an hour of unpacking them! Thanks again TUCR

Both rods got to my doorstep an hour before he got up here. We both have caught some nice eyes in the 20″ range on them already, we will post pics soonDecember 29, 2013 at 5:40 pm #1374895Hi Ben,
What style rods did you get? I love all of my TUCR’s…I also like to know what others are buying
December 29, 2013 at 9:50 pm #1374974Tmyboy, we both got Precisions; mine was a 36″, his was 32″. I hole hop a lot and am seldom fishing inside a shelter, he does a good mix of both. However I had no issues fishing in a hub or a pull-over with the 36″. I primarily use 1/8-1/4oz spoons in addition to #5 Rippin Raps or similar baits. My next rod will be a 32″ Quick Tip for 1/16-1/8oz spoons or jigging raps which I use primarily for stream trout in lakes, perch, crappie, or walleye looking for a smaller pattern. Which ones do you have?
December 30, 2013 at 9:50 pm #1375329You’re going to love the Quicktip. My first TUC was a 28″ Noodle that I broke in on early ice right after Thanksgiving. I was outfishing my buddies that were along, nearly 5:1! The following week, I went back to the shop and saw Adam and John, and they set me up with a 32″ Precision for jigging my blades and 1/8 oz spoons. Needless to say at that point, I was “hooked” on TUCR’s.
At the show, I stopped by the booth to say “hi” to the guys, and to persuade my brother-in-law to pick up a Noodle of his own. Adam, with the help of Brad Hawthorne, was able to convince me to pick up a 32″ Quicktip. I’m sure glad they did. As Brad described, this is the “crescent wrench” of rods in my bag. I can do pretty much whatever I need with this rod, with respect to a variety of lures. I’ve been using it lately to target very finnicky walleyes with 1/8 oz Slender Spoons, taking some cues from Will’s technique while filming you guys in Ely. As soon my bank account recovers from the holidays, I’ll be ordering another Quicktip, this time 36″ for hole hopping. I’m looking forward to using it on Mille Lacs for some giant perch. Awesome rods, and even better folks to deal with, at TUCR!
December 31, 2013 at 7:12 pm #1375630Yeah, I can’t wait until I am able to add more TUCRs to my arsenal; it sounds like you will have all your bases covered once you get the 36″QT. My buddy and I did quite well with our rods last weekend, here are a few of our fish.

January 6, 2014 at 10:18 am #1377354Outstanding!
I’ll shoot you a PM later to get some information on coming up there later this winter. I’d like to surprise my father with a trip, and get him on some good walleye fishing. In the meantime, I’m going to have to order him a TUC Precision!

TUCR QuickTipJanuary 6, 2014 at 2:52 pm #1377517Give them a call or send an email. I don’t see why they wouldn’t. An awesome bunch of guys to work with.
January 6, 2014 at 3:06 pm #1377529They said on a post here once that you can call, email, or even text in an order or ask questions. Then I made a joking reply that they should do an on-ice delivery system and he said THEY ALREADY DID DO THAT ONCE! How the heck can you get better customer service than that?
January 6, 2014 at 4:23 pm #1377555Yes for any international orders you would need to call us. There is a lot more rules and shipping costs vary.
We really take orders anyway possible. We have a very good staff and we strive to do our best.
Thank you all for your support.
John
