    Hi Folks,

I need an inexpensive option for a key-less/key for my vehicle. My current key/opener is on the fritz and Ive already soldiered the buttons/ connection twice.

    I have a 2005 Dodge Durango.

I happily will take any advice.

    Thanks,

Go on eBay and buy one.

Generally, they will have programming instructions included. My results have been variable, I couldn’t get my Bravada remote to program, but I did a new remote for my dad’s GMC truck with no problem.

Even if you can’t get the remote to program, I’ve just asked the dealership to do it when I’m in for other service and they’ve always done it for free.

Stop at a salvage yard. I have purchased a number of fobs for my last few pickups and they often cost less than $5.00 each. There are usually sets of numbers on the fobs and a quick internet search will tell you which numbers are compatible with your year make and model. Then follow the online instructions to pair the fob to your vehicle.
    Good Luck!

don’t go to the dealership, I have seen these at car parts stores and they even program them for you! More than 1/2 off of the dealership prices. At least for what they charge around here. Up in God’s country they might be free.
