So they shot themselves in the foot because they live their lives per what the bible says versus their pocket books? Or they should just keep quiet and not stir the pot?

I completely disagree with keeping quiet about these subjects. Silence to me means agreement. My advice is to standup for what you beleive in.

The good new is, I’m certain the majority of Duck Commander’s business comes from hunters who feel the same. The Walmart/gas station Duck Dynasty junk will probably be the only hit they take.

Finally someone in the publie eye that doesn’t bend their beliefs to pacify others. Right or wrong, way to show some backbone Phil!

Anyone who watches the show knows that is how he is. Some people might see it as being preachy and mean spirited, but I don’t see it that way. The guy is a smart*$&.

That is classic Phil with just a little more edginess. I think it’s funny as heck and I don’t even agree with him. Um, I mean I don’t agree with his view on the [censored] community, I do agree with what he said there.

I don’t think it hurts them that much. He has a right to say what he wants to say as much as whiny babies can ask sponsors to drop them. I imagine for every sponsor that drops them, 2 will be ready to take their place.

Coming back from Florida a week ago there were bilboards throughout Tennessee any Kentucky for iamsecond.com it appears to be an endeavour they are persuing over the web.

Seriously??? People are actually agreeing with Phil Robertson?? He is interpreting the Bible in the most literal sense there is. Who else here reads the Bible??

It also states in Deuteronomy 21 18-21 that disobediant sons should be stoned to death in front of the city’s gates. Deuteronomy 22 13-21 states that a woman who gets married and found to not be a virgin should also be stoned to death in front of the city’s gates..

How many of us here married virgins? How many of us have disobediant sons?? Gut check people- do we really want to always fall back on the Bible when the issue of homosexuality arises?? Seems to me it gets used as a crutch when people’s viewpoints are in line with what the Bible says…

What about Jesus?? He also preached to love everyone and not descriminate – when are we going to follow those teachings???

I think you missed the point, most are not agreeing with the interpretation of the Bible, it’s that he drew his line in the sand and is sayign what he believes to be true.

The bible says allot of things that can be taken allot of ways. My interpretation of the bible is homosexuality in any form is sin and not the intention of God’s way. That being said we live in a fallen world and are all in need of redemtion

I’m sure people are going to make a huge story of this. Be prepared for people to frame it all how they like.

I’m not homophobic, but I can get past what he says. I guess I have more regards for people without a filter who aren’t afraid to not be PC.

I don’t think it’s a matter of being homophobic, but more of a priciple of his beliefs. Not trying to be argumentive, just saying.

Just going with my gut. His words seem to stem from hatred, intolerance and self-righteousness. That part of the country is well known for this. My initial point was amazement that he would do this to his family. However only time will tell if I am right or way off track. It will be interesting to see.

Funny, I was going to post the same thing. It is not for us to judge, it is for the populace!

Paula Deen was similar though her comments were racial. They chopped her off at the knees. She lost all her credential, her sponsors and millions of dollars.

On a side note BK must be napping this afternoon. All this bible talk and the thread is still going.

Who gives a flippin’ hootie-doo? This isn’t news. Anyone who has ever met him, watched the Duckmen videos, read the books, or seen the show know what he’s about. While I don’t agree with his stance on the issue, it won’t effect my loyalty to his duck calls.
