Smartwool are the only socks I will use anymore. I have a terrible time keeping my feet warm because they sweat when I walk. If the socks don’t transfer the moisture then my feet are wet and get cold when I stop moving. I have tried about every brand on the market I could get my hands on. Smartwool seem to work the best for me.

Under Armor’s smart wool have been great! Really warm, durable, and extremely comfortable.

Does anyone know of a good non-wool sock? The FW just cannot wear wool of any kind.

Is this “smart wool” and “under armour smart wool” the same sock, or is “smart wool” a brand of its own?

I have thrown all my wool socks away except for the smart wool branded ones. They just work and wear very well. Highly recommend them.

I just wear poly wicking sock liners in boots no socks.

I use a thin poly liner sock and then merino wool. Bought mine at Gander Mt as a set.

I picked up a pair of these , on my nephews word, that they are a good quality wicking sock, that was not wool… I wore them several times this summer and now have 10 more pair. So far I am impressed with the wicking and the durability

I believe the merino is the same as smart wool just a different brand. As my buddy says, “This is that synthetic wool.”

Smart Wool! They’re just a little thicker than my normal cotton socks making them a lot more comfortable. I should take all my old thick heavy ones to Good Will.

If you have really warm boots you shouldnt need bulky socks.
I remember a post last year some guys said the Cabelas Polypropylene socks worked well.

    Cabelas socks

Gobros.com has lots of socks. I think I ordered some cheaper polypropylene socks from there a couple years ago.

I’ve been wearing Icebreaker Brand Merino wool socks and liners for the last few years. Very light. Very warm. Wick moisture extremely well.

I wear cabelas Cabelas Polypropylene socks under carhartt socks.

May have to try some smartwool products out.
